Welcome back to the High School Corner!

As some of you may have already seen in last week’s edition of The Globe, the St. Catherine’s High School will be hosting this year’s Pancake Breakfast! For those who may be unfamiliar, the Pancake Breakfast is an event hosted every year after Steps4Students where we sell delicious pancakes, savory bacon, fresh fruit, and piping-hot coffee. If your mouth is watering just thinking about all that delicious food after a long marathon, then click this link to RSVP for the Pancake Breakfast and rest easy in the knowledge that you have a guaranteed meal waiting for you after your run. We will be holding the event in the St. Catherine’s gymnasium, and we want to have enough room for everybody.

This year the proceeds from the event will go towards our class trip to Hawaii. All year we have been studying American history in Humanities class and biodiversity in our Environmental Science class. Our trip to Hawaii will serve as the capstone to all the work we have done in both of these classes and will provide an opportunity for us to make connections to work we have done across all our other classes as well. It will be an opportunity for us to put all our accumulated knowledge into practice.

Thank you for reading; we hope you’ll be back to read more next week!
