Parent Education

Students benefit the most from their journey at St. Catherine's when families connect with Montessori philosophy and understanding the working of our classrooms. We understand that the Montessori approach may be new to parents who have grown up with more traditional schooling. Throughout the year we offer several Parent Education opportunities. We encourage you to attend to deepen your awareness of your child's growth as they progress through the Planes of Development and transition from one classroom level to another. Our guides also use these opportunities to suggest practical applications of Montessori at home.

 

Additionally, the Parent Service Organization (PSO) maintains a Parent Library in the Welcome Center, which includes many resources on Montessori principles and parenting.
