Welcome back to the High School Corner!

ClueWhodunnit? Where? Why? All these questions and more will be answered in our High School production of Clue, a comedy based on the boardgame created in 1947. Over the past few weeks we have read several comedy plays in Literature Seminar, and worked with Mrs. Lindsey and Mrs. Snow to decide on which play to bring to the stage. Clue tells the story of a murder mystery taking place in a mysterious, old mansion. The guests, who seem to have been grouped together with almost nothing in common, must work together to solve the mystery and find the murderer. This fast-paced, comedic play is exciting and entertaining, and we can’t wait to perform it for you!

Here is the official cast list:

Wadsworth: Jacob Blackman

Ms. Scarlet: Isabella Godfrey

Mrs. Peacock: Emma Nowlin

Colonel Mustard: Jackson Uitenbroek

Mrs. White: Vittoria La Matta

Our scripts arrived last week, and we completed our first read through of the play on Thursday. The students are embracing their characters, and we can already see the play coming together! We are also beginning to work on set design, and with such an intricate set (if you have played the boardgame you will remember all the different rooms!) we are so excited to see how it will turn out.

We look forward to bringing you more Clue-related content and information over the semester as we use our powers of deduction to find answers to questions such as: When will the play be performed? Where will it be performed? Why don’t you just answer those questions now? Wait, where are you going? Are you really just going to leave me hanging like this?

Thank you for your time; we hope to see you back next week!
