Hello Everyone!

One of the things the high school focused on over the past two weeks was discussing and finalizing our community guidelines. We believe that it is essential to have an agreed upon set of values and goals that we abide by as a community that we can refer to as the year goes on. We had several conversations about the qualities we see as most important in our friends and mentors, and after discussing these shared values, we selected the ones that we believe most accurately reflect our high school community.

We wanted to share our finalized set of community values with you:

1. We will extend courtesy and respect to every member of our community.
2. We will strive to understand and support one another.
3. We will be open-minded to the different perspectives and experiences of others.
4. We will value honest communication, particularly self advocacy.
5. We will strive to be hardworking and persevere through any challenges we may face.
6. We will do our best to make reasonable decisions.
7. We will not only care for ourselves, but also care for each other and the classroom environment.
8. We will take responsibility for our actions, admit when wrong, and be accepting of constructive criticism.
