The St. Catherine's Journey Supercut (Infant Community through High School)
Featured
At St. Catherine's Montessori children learn, grow, and explore as they develop self-confidence and a love of learning, connect to beauty and nature, and experience the presence of God. Every stage of their educational journey is dedicated to awakening in our students the awareness of their gifts and responsibilities as stewards of the global community.

Steps 4 Students Virtual 5K
Featured
On February 23, 24 and 25 our Elementary through High Schools students (some alongside their guides and assistants) raced, walked and ran a course around our Timberside campus. Everyone had a great time, and we were happy to find a distinctly St. Catherine's way of participating in this much-loved annual tradition.

The St. Catherine's Journey - Part 6: High School
Featured
We have entered the last leg of the St. Catherine’s Journey – the High School! Our students enter the 10th grade ready to take on more adult roles at school and beyond. Our aim is to educate their whole selves and guide their transition into adulthood by providing rigorous academic study, moral education, and spiritual inquiry. The High School program gives them the opportunity to pursue advanced courses at partnering institutions, internships, and independent study – experiences we consider integral to high school education as opposed to electives. St. Catherine’s students will graduate having pursued knowledge and experiences that represent who they are in the fullest sense, ready to walk their individual paths.

High School Corner - Climate Caucus on September 10, 2019
Featured
The students of St. Catherine’s Montessori are hosting a climate caucus to discuss climate change and clean energy solutions in advance of Houston’s upcoming Democratic presidential primary debate. This student-led, nonpartisan event serves as a way for our students to move from knowing to acting, and builds on the work from their spring 2019 climate change symposium.
Uploaded Sep 04, 2019
Students will integrate their work in environmental studies and government studies and demonstrate their presentation skills by moderating and serving on a panel that will also feature students from other Houston-area high schools and universities. Panelists will discuss key issues and potential solutions to climate change.
The students also have invited a variety of state and local political candidates to attend as audience members and participate in a student-led Q&A session on these issues at the conclusion of the student panel.
The caucus will be livestreamed by our partners at Citizens' Climate Lobby and Environmental Defense Fund and shared via Facebook and Twitter to reach the presidential candidates and their campaign staff to showcase the concerns of a diverse and knowledgeable group of students who gathered together to engage respectfully with one another on the topics of climate change, energy, and legislation.
Participating schools include: Strake Jesuit College Preparatory; Rice University; The Emery/Weiner School; Memorial High School; Klein Collins High School; Lamar High School; and Sharpstown International High School.
The nonpartisan event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
RSVP by September 8 at https://climatecaucus.eventbrite.com. -
