Denise Stasio

Denise has a love for education that involves learning with her students. She grew up in Beaumont, Texas where she was educated by many Dominican sisters at St. Anthony’s Grammar School and Monsignor Kelly High School. In 1973, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Texas A&M University along with her Texas Teaching Certificate.  She went on to receive a Master of Education in Mathematics from the University of Houston in 1981. As a teacher for over 30 years at St. Agnes Academy (founded by the Dominican Sisters of Houston), she has taught students courses in mathematics (Pre-Algebra through Calculus) and computer science (Coding and Computer Science Principles), including honors and AP classes. Today, Denise and her husband have three grown children and four grandchildren. She is an active member of the Dominican Family living a life centered on prayer, study, community, and preaching.
