Biography

Denise Rodriguez, a native of Trinidad and Tobago, attended Carribean Union College where she received a BA in English and a BS in Mathematics. She then went on the dental college and became a certified dental assistant. She also did training to become a Youth Director at her church. Denise has worked as a dental assistant, a church secretary and most importantly she has worked at St. Catherine’s since 1981. Her first 12 years were as a primary assistant and then she was the Director of Extended Day for 10 years. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, cooking, reading, collecting stamps, dolls and shells, traveling, swimming and camping. She is very active in her church as well. Denise and her husband have two children, both of whom are graduates of St. Catherine's. Her comments on Montessori - “The environment is a safe place for children. It is also conducive to learning. I’ve had the wonderful pleasure of seeing my children grow up in this unique place we call St. Catherine’s Montessori.”
