Great Conversations is our biennial fundraising event where guests come together to enjoy great food, great company and great conversations – all in support of a great cause! Proceeds help support the SCM Tuition Assistance Program, which provides tuition aid directly to St. Catherine’s families. This event allows us to continue the legacy established our foundresses, Sister Shirley Owens, O.P.+ and Sister Edna Ann Hebert, O.P., to educate children from all backgrounds and cultivate a diverse and inclusive school environment.
This year we are pleased to welcome Stephen Klineberg, Ph.D. and Britt Hawthorne as our guest speakers. As educators with respective expertise in urban sociology and anti-bias training, their presentations will provoke thoughtful discussions about Houston's economic and demographic changes; diversity, equality and justice; and our community's shared commitment to developing our students' awareness of their gifts and responsibilities as stewards of a global community.
