On Tuesday, September 24, families from St. Catherine’s and other Houston area schools gathered at the High School Open House to chat with our students, their guides, and college counselor to learn more about our high school program.
St. Catherine’s Montessori High School – Houston’s only Catholic Montessori high school – will graduate our first class of seniors in May; realizing the final step in the school’s strategic goal to provide a high school program for the older adolescent. The high school offers a student-centered, interdisciplinary, and experiential education grounded in the principles of AMI Montessori education. Students are offered AP courses, can take dual-credit classes at the University of St. Thomas, and can complete independent studies courses. 12th graders may complete an independent capstone research project. Travel learning, mentorships, and internships are also an important part of this program.
