CANCELED: Sociables: The Art of Book Restoration

Learn how to mend books in disrepair without creating further damage (no scotch tape, please - the horror!). This hands-on lesson will feature SCM grandparent Nancy Burford, Veterinary Collections Curator at Texas A&M University. Nancy will provide do's and don'ts, demonstrate techniques, and guide participants in "doing for themselves" quick and easy book repair. Bring a book that is in need of help if you have one. A list of recommended supplies and materials to avoid will be provided. Light refreshments will be available at the conclusion of the workshop.
