Biography

Lauren has a Bachelor’s degree in History and a minor in International Affairs from the University of Dallas. She also has a Master’s degree in Catholic Education (GRACE program) from the University of St. Thomas. Prior to coming to St. Catherine’s, she spent eight years teaching 4th and 5th grades in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston.

Her husband Chris is a teacher at a Catholic High School. They have a daughter in Primary, and an infant son.

Lauren enjoys running, kayaking, and being outside. She also enjoys reading and baking.

She loves the way Montessori “promotes exploration and self-discovery, encourages children to be active rather that passive learners, and enables them to manage freedom and responsibility while maintaining a high level of intellectual curiosity”.
