Dear St. Catherine's Montessori Community,
Welcome to the Parent Service Organization! The mission of the PSO is to enhance the educational environment of St. Catherine’s, while building community through family involvement and service. All parents are automatically members of the PSO, and I highly encourage you to participate in the various community and service activities that the PSO supports.
Our family has been at St. Catherine’s since 2017 when our oldest son began Primary at age 3. He will start his third year of Lower Elementary. He is joined by his sister, who begins her first year of Lower Elementary. Our third child will begin his second year of Primary. Our fourth child will begin his Primary journey this year. We believe in the exceptional education that they receive at St. Catherine’s. The emphasis on holistic learning that integrates all aspects - educational, mental, social, emotional, and spiritual development - is one of the things that we value most about St. Catherine’s.
Equally important to us is the community of families, faculty, and staff that make St. Catherine’s such a special and unique place. The warmth, openness, and activism are evident in every aspect of the community, and the PSO is part of this rich tradition of family service. As we embark full steam ahead for this academic year, I invite you to look through the descriptions of the numerous PSO committees to find a volunteer opportunity that fits your interests and talents. I encourage you to reach out with any questions or concerns, attend the quarterly PSO meetings, and explore ways to volunteer. We are on this beautiful journey together!
We will send regular announcements of PSO events and meetings through the Globe newsletter and via the PSO email address. If you have any questions regarding the PSO, please email us at [email protected]. I hope to see you at one of our upcoming events.
Wishing y’all a happy, healthy, and productive school year!
Vy Collett
