Casa de Esperanza Pajama and Basic Needs Drive

Beginning November 26, 2018 you will find a Christmas tree in the Welcome Center adorned with ornaments for our annual Casa de Esperanza Pajama and Basic Needs Drive! Casa de Esperanza is a non-profit organization whose goal is to break the cycle of child abuse and neglect, one family at a time. Supporting the children of Casa has been a St. Catherine’s Montessori tradition for many years.
125 pajama ornaments will hang on our 2018 Christmas tree. On the back of each ornament is the name of a child, their size, and their pajama color preference. Please consider taking an ornament from the tree and giving the gift of warm pajamas this Christmas to some wonderful children, and feel free to get them warm socks and underwear too!
If you do take an ornament, please register it with the Front Desk so we can make sure that every child receives a set of pajamas. The ornament you take from the tree also will serve as the gift tag, so please return it with the unwrapped pajamas. All pajamas and ornaments are due back to school on or before Wednesday, December 12!
If you find that all ornaments have been claimed, you can still support the children of Casa de Esperanza by purchasing and donating an item on the Casa Basic Needs List. New this year, you might consider donating a book purchased at our annual Scholastic Book Fair. Gift cards are also appreciated. There will be a donation box available to place the books, and you can place items from the Basic Needs List in front of the tree. The last day to drop off all donations is Wednesday, December 12.
If you have any questions, please feel free to send us a note or give us a call! Thank you all so very much for taking part in this St. Catherine's tradition! Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season!
