AUGUST 31, 2020 - Today we celebrate the 150th birthday of Maria Montessori. We here at St. Catherine’s are fortunate to be the stewards of the life and work of Maria Montessori. She was energetic, determined, and passionate about her work, and was filled with a desire to learn about young children.

Due to Hurricane Laura, our in-person, remote and distance learning programs will be closed on Wednesday 8/26 and Thursday 8/27. The current plan is to resume classes on Friday, and we will update the SCM community as storm conditions evolve. Stay safe, healthy and dry!
AUGUST 20, 2020 - Excitement was in the air as students saw familiar and new faces, talked about their summers, and learned about all the new adventures that await them in the coming academic year.
AUGUST 12, 2020 - Welcome to the first day of the 2020-2021 school year! It was fun to see the excitement of the children wearing masks and name tags, carrying snack bags and water bottles, and eager to find their classrooms and friends.

JULY 30, 2020 - With the support of the Board of Directors and Archdiocese of Galveston/Houston St. Catherine's will begin the 2020-2021 school year on August 12.
MAY 20, 2020 - All around the world the Class of 2020 is facing changes to graduation traditions, but COVID-19 has not kept the spirit of this important rite of passage down. Students, along with their families and schools, are adapting to find new ways to celebrate their milestone achievement and honor the work that led them to commencement.
