Event Description

Sue Pritzker, AMI trainer and consultant, will join us via video conference to discuss some essential Montessori principles that span the early childhood, elementary, and adolescent years, and to offer touchpoints for Montessori in the home. Bring your questions and your notebooks! The presentation will be recorded and shared with the full community.

This event is designed for adults. However, adolescents may find the presentation interesting, especially if they have an interest in their Montessori education. Adolescent Community and High School students are welcome to attend with their parents.

Speaker Biography

Sue graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with degrees in Sociology and Spanish, and has a certificate in Non-Profit Administration from Concordia College. She worked as a teacher and administrator at Marin Montessori School before taking on the position of Head of School at Childpeace Montessori in Portland, Oregon in 1987. Sue helped to grow the school from 45 to 360 children and retired from that position in July 2020.

Sue is a founding member the Montessori Administrators Association, and also founded Lead Montessori workshop in Prague. She has been a speaker and presenter for AMI-USA, American Montessori Society, NAMTA, Oregon Montessori Organization, Montessori Mexico, Montessori Norge, and Montessori Institute Prague. Her presentations primarily focus in Primary classroom and administrative practice. Sue is an AMI trainer for the Administrators Certificate Course and works with AMI on the Global School Accreditation Program.
