WHAT'S NEXT FOR YOU?
I traveled to Rome immediately after graduation as part of a study abroad program focused on the role of the Catholic Church in the modern world. I will attend St. Mary’s University in the fall, pursuing a master's degree in theology.
HOW DID SCM HIGH SCHOOL PREPARE YOU FOR YOUR NEXT STEPS?
The dual credit collaboration between SCM High School and University of Thomas allowed me to study Latin and Greek for my high school language credits. These courses laid the foundation for my interest in studying the Catholic Church from a scholarly perspective. Further, our single high school trip was to Rome and Greece! This trip left a lasting impact on me and directly contributed to my interest in studying religion. Overall, the high school allowed for deep study of the subjects that I am most passionate about.
WHAT WORDS OF WISDOM WOULD YOU LIKE TO PASS ON TO OUR CURRENT HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS?
SCM High School allows students to pursue studies that will support them in discovering their life’s work. Take advantage of the opportunities available to you!
