Head of School Search

After thoughtful consideration and prayer, Lina has decided that she needs to be closer to her family in Florida to help care for her mother.

The new Head of School is expected to begin on July 1, 2027.

A Search Committee selected by the St. Catherine’s Board of Directors will work with an external search consultant (The Education Group) to identify and recommend a new Head of School to the full Board for approval.

Founded in 1988, The Education Group provides search and placement as well as executive coaching services to independent schools across the country.

Consultants Karen Drawz and Laura Fuller will assist the Search Committee in its work. Karen and Laura have been working with St. Catherine’s since early April and have conducted extensive research in preparation for the search process and the creation of the candidate profile. There will be more opportunities for information gathering from all segments of the St. Catherine's community when constituent surveys are distributed in late August.

While the formal evaluation will be led by the Search Committee, community input will be essential. Our search consultants from The Education Group will distribute a questionnaire at the end of August 2026 to St. Catherine’s students, parents, alumni, faculty, and staff to gather feedback. The consultants have already engaged with several focus groups, worked closely with the Search Committee Co-Chairs and Board Chair, and will continue collecting information from a broader cross-section of the community as the search progresses. Additionally, members of the school community will have the opportunity to evaluate finalist candidates during their campus visits in the late fall.

Leadership transitions naturally bring change, but St. Catherine’s has navigated periods of transition before and grown stronger. Our school is grounded by a deep commitment to mission, values, and community—always led by our Catholic faith and Montessori principles. While each Head brings a unique perspective and leadership style, the defining qualities that make St. Catherine’s special will remain constant. The school will continue to embrace new opportunities and meet challenges with thoughtfulness and purpose.
