Primary Soccer
In 2005 a group of our parents joined together to start the St. Catherine’s Primary Soccer League. The soccer league has two sessions of 8 weeks each, one in the fall and then again in the spring. Parents and students meet on Saturday mornings at our athletics field for a practice and game. The players are broken up into small groups for 30-minute practice sessions and then play a 30-40 minute game. Parents are provided with some basic drills and coaching techniques at the beginning of the season and run the drills and oversee the games. The games are 3-on-3 micro soccer format that follows the USYSA regulations.
The players learn the basic skills of soccer, but most of all they have fun. Parents get the opportunity to work with the players and get to know other families from St. Catherine’s. After the final game the children are presented with medals, and the parents are presented with a commerative picture. Directly following, all enjoy a pot-luck breakfast.
Lower Elementary Soccer
As some of the Primary children moved up, a group of families started the Lower El Soccer League in 2006, enabling the children to continue playing together. These families meet directly after the Primary Soccer session on Saturday mornings. Children practice and participate in games much like the Primary Soccer. The Lower El Soccer games are 4-on-4 micro soccer format that follows the USYSA regulations.
These soccer leagues provide a wonderful opportunity for the kids to be introduced to soccer and for our families to get to know each other better. After the final game the children are presented medals, and the parents are presented with a commerative picture. Directly following, all levels enjoy a pot-luck breakfast.

Roller Hockey
Keith Peters provides a morning roller hockey league that meets once a week at St. Catherine’s. Participation is available to Lower Elementary Students and up.
