Landscapes for Learning
Primary Outdoor Learning Environment

The Primary Courtyard at St. Catherine’s Montessori will be transformed into a natural playscape. This space, utilized by children ages 3-6, will provide a living classroom, from which students can learn about biology, ecology, horticulture, and environmental stewardship. Featured elements include a dry creek bed, butterfly garden, vegetable and flower gardens, natural materials play pod, living tunnel, water pumping station, compost bins, and much more.
For information about how you and your family can become a permanent part of the landscape, download the Paver Tribute Form, Naming Opportunities Form, or contact Jennifer Reeves, Director of Development at (713) 665-2195 or email jreeves@stcathmont.org. Volunteers will also be needed for landscape installation over the summer. Please contact St. Catherine's Montessori if you have an interest in lending a hand!
