A Great Day on the Green

The sun was shining and the temperature was cool and breezy at the 11th Annual Golf Scramble.  More than 50 folks came out to play.  It was fantastic to see Casey and Marcella Lunn, Ella Uribe, Joseph Wager, Chloe Rose, Justin Rodriguez, Blair Bath and Blythe Bath having a great time putting around with their parents.  SCM dads, Mario Yearwood and Steve Torres' team won first place, Jamie Mann's team came in second, and Miguel Pena's team came in third. Congrats also to the Rodriguez team for their triumphant "Good Try" win.  Joseph Wager was on hand to draw the winning Raffle ticket, which belonged to our own Kelley Twardowski. 

Special thanks to Kolache Factory for providing breakfast for everyone.  Fajita Pete's and Massage Envy-Meyerland donated the door prizes, and Mann Made Designs donated the Raffle's iPod touch.  The Gremillion family did fantastic work on the banner and hole signs.  Shannon Hoffer, Diana and Amelia Smith, Sandra Wager and Laurie Farris were perfect ambassadors for St. Catherine's and served it well as event volunteers.

Many thanks for the Scramble's generous donations and THANK YOU to all of our families that played and/or sponsored the Scramble!  We appreciate your support so much!  This year's Scramble raised nearly $15,000 for the St. Catherine's Scholarship Fund and Reading Center.  Our families in need thank you.
