Focus the Nation

Focus the Nation is an ambitious educational initiative, coordinating teams of faculty and students at over a thousand colleges, universities and K-12 schools throughout the United States. The goal is to collaboratively engage in a natiowide, interdisciplinary discussion about "Global Warming Solutions for America."

The events will culminate in the form of national symposia held at each institution. St. Catherine's Montessori is one of only 3 in the city of Houston. Rice University and Lamar High School will host Focus the Nation events as well.

Houston's Mayor, Bill White, West Univerity's Mayor, Bob Kelly, and Bellaire's Mayor Cindy Siegel will be in attendance at St. Catherine's, along with State Representative Ellen Cohen, and Houston City Council members Peter Brown, Melissa Noriega, Sue Lovell, and Ronald Green. The St. Catherine's community is invited to attend as well.
