SCMBC Mission Statement
St. Catherine’s Montessori Booster Club (SCMBC) is a parent-organized committee. SCMBC is dedicated to supporting the extracurricular athletics programs through community-building and fundraising.
- SCMBC will develop the community of St. Catherine’s by actively promoting support for our extracurricular athletic teams and providing activities and events for all families and staff.
- SCMBC will provide supplementary funding for equipment, facilities, and coaches so that extracurricular athletics can be provided at low cost to families.
SCMBC Membership
Membership is open to all parents and supporters of St. Catherine's Montessori extracurricular athletics. If your child participates currently, or will likely participate, in extracurricular athletics at St. Catherine's Montessori during the 2010-2011 school year you are automatically a member of SCM Booster Club.
You can support the Athletics Programs and have some fun by attending our monthly meetings or getting involved in one of the following Booster Club activities.
SCMBC Meetings
Please come join us! SCM Booster Club is currently scheduled to meet every fourth Tuesday of the month (August –May) from 6:00pm-7:00pm. Dates and times are subject to change and will be posted in the Globe.

Team Parent – Responsibilities include helping to coordinate concession stands workers and away game carpools, promoting the teams games, and generally supporting the coach and team.
Los Tios Night – Twice a year our families join together at Los Tios in the Meyerland Plaza to enjoy an evening of Mexican Food and fun. 20% of the food bills come back to the school.
Steps for Students Run/Walk – This run, which is held in February each year, is organized by the Galveston-Houston Archdiocese to promote and support our Catholic Schools. All proceeds and donations from our participating families come back to support SCM Extracurricular Athletics. This is our largest and most productive fund raiser every year. The funds raised from this event have provided most of our uniforms and equipment.
Fund Raising – Work with the Development Director to develop a business sponsorship program, organize the sale of mini-directories, or sell Team t-shirts or yard signs.
Team T-shirts –Coordinate the development, production and sale of team t-shirts for each sport. Other products might be developed in the future.
Athletics Reports – Help develop short announcements to be published in the weekly Globe letting everyone know how our student athletes are doing throughout the year.
