Renee Smith
Renee has a BA in English from the University of Dallas with a concentration in Studio Art. She has her A.M.I. Primary certification from the Montessori Institute of North Texas.
Renee was a primary assistant at St. Catherine’s from 2007-2011 and she also completed her AMI student teaching at St. Catherine’s in 2011. She and her husband Ryan have two boys – Dominic and Liam. Dominic will begin in the primary program this year. Renee’s siblings Rory, Rose and Riley Gremillion are also part of the AC, Lower Elementary and Toddler Community’s.
In her spare time Renee enjoys gardening, sewing, birding, eating, traveling, listening to music and spending time outdoors and at the zoo with her family.
Renee’s comments about Montessori are – “Montessori ignites the child’s love of learning and nurtures the child’s interests and passions in an atmosphere of respect. Children are free to work independently and to teach and learn from others.”
