Norma Santamaría

Norma graduated from Princeton University with a degree in Romance Languages. She then went on to receive her law degree from The University of Texas School of Law. She also holds a Texas Educator Certification in Secondary Spanish (6-12) and Bilingual Education (PK-6).

Norma has worn many hats, including that of attorney, elementary bilingual teacher and private tutor for SAT preparation. She has been the Upper School Guide in Spanish since 2005.

Her hobbies include sewing, salsa dancing, photography, walking and basketball. She and her husband have three children.

Her thoughts on Montessori - “My attraction to the Montessori method of education is that it provides students an opportunity to grow in an environment that fosters the love of learning and encourages creative thinking and problem solving in a caring community with a world view.“
