Lu Ann Barbarawi
Lu Ann went to Houston Community College for her Associates Degree as well as University of Houston Victoria where she majored in social work. She is a member of Phi Theta Kappa.
Lu Ann has worked with the Texas Department of Health in social work, Delpechian Faith Home, Ridgecrest Elementary in social work, the Women’s Crisis Center and of course she has been working with St. Catherine’s for the last years as a lower elementary assistant.
In her spare time she enjoys working with animals, especially dogs and is involved with the HOPE organization which rescues homeless and abused animals. She also enjoys running and doing marathons, as well as fishing whenever possible.
Her comments about Montessori - “I love that Montessori provides a more positive community for learning. I love the way teachers and parents give motivation to the children to explore, be responsible and challenge their interests. Montessori education is a growth experience that will enrich us through out our lives.”
