As new parents, the Links discovered Montessori upon observing their niece in a Montessori program in Portland, OR. They immediately enrolled their children in “The Family School” – a Montessori program in New York City, when each child turned 18 months. They’ve attended Montessori schools, when available, ever since. She appreciates the individual responsibility that Montessori develops in their students and loves that the Montessori programs look for the gift in each child, helping to build on it.
