Ann Williams
Ann has a BA in English Literature with a minor in Art History from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She has a Masters in Fine Art – Photography from Columbia College in Chicago and she has her AMI elementary (6-12) certification from the Montessori Institute of Milwaukee.
Ann has taught photography at two different colleges in Chicago. She worked with two non-profit art groups that served children and teens. Over the past nine years Ann has taught at AMI Montessori schools, both big and small, including one in Switzerland.
Ann has a 5 year old daughter Ivey who will be attending St. Catherine’s. She also comes from a boisterous family of four brothers and nine nieces and nephews. In her spare time Ann enjoys art, photography, gardening, going to garage sales and antique shows and reading.
Ann’s comments on Montessori - “I appreciate the freedom given to a child to pursue specific interests and passions. Additionally, I appreciate the recognition of the importance of the social and emotional life of the child and not just the academic.”
