Admissions Procedures

Tours and Open Houses
Tours are scheduled on a monthly basis on Wednesday mornings from 8:45 am – 10:30 a.m. Please check under tours/observations for specific dates.
Open Houses are scheduled twice a year. This year’s dates are

Wednesday, October 15, 2008 from 9 - 10:30 a.m.
Wednesday, January 14, 2009 from 6 - 7:00 p.m.

Please call the front office at 713-665-2195 to make a reservation.

Classroom Observations
Classroom observations are scheduled after you have completed a Tour or Open House. They are scheduled on a monthly basis on Wednesday mornings from 9 – 10 a.m. Please check under tour and observations for specific dates.

Applications
Applications are received after the tour and classroom observations have been completed. Completed forms may be returned to the Admission Office with a non-refundable $125 fee.

Applications are reviewed in February. Current family re-enrollment is completed by February 18, 2009 and new family acceptance letters and contracts will be mailed on March 6, 2009.

Policy
The school accepts qualified students regardless of race, religion or ethnic origins. The school accepts those qualified students who, in the opinion of the school, will have success in the program and will enhance the classes for which they are applicants.

Applicants will be given priority in the following order:
1. Qualified siblings of students continuing at St. Catherine’s Montessori
2. Qualified applicants from other Montessori schools
3. All other qualified applicants

The need to balance classes by age and gender is of the utmost importance.
