Hiring and Accreditation Goals

The philosophy and curriculum of St. Catherine's Montessori is firmly rooted in the Montessori Method as established by Dr. Maria Montessori. It is the goal of SCM School to maintain our status as an Association Montessori International (A.M.I.) school. To this end, the administration endeavors, whenever possible, to hire faculty trained by A.M.I. Any teachers without A.M.I. training that are hired by SCM School will be expected to begin A.M.I. training, within three years of hiring. SCM School is accredited by the Texas Catholic Conference Education Department (TCCED) which is recognized by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). It is an ongoing goal of SCM School to maintain such accreditation.
