About Us

St. Catherine's Montessori School is a private, non-profit school serving families who live and work in areas inside and around Loop 610. Founded in 1966 by Montessorians Sr. Edna Ann Hebert, O.P., and Sr. Shirley Owens, O.P., lifetime member of the Board of Directors, we are pleased to celebrate forty years of providing a quality educational and religious program.

Located near Loop 610 South between Stella Link and S. Main, the school is easily accessible to the Medical Center, Galleria Area, West University, Bellaire, and Downtown Houston.

We are affiliated with the Catholic Diocese of Galveston-Houston and accredited by the Texas Catholic Conference Education Department (TCCED), which is recognized by the Texas Education Agency (TEA).

Our student population of approximately 230 students, ages 14 months to 15 years, is culturally, religiously, and economically diverse.

In a loving and secure environment, we offer a strong academic curriculum which is enriched by performing and visual arts studies, foreign language, computer science, physical education, and field trips to explore the world around us.
